Interim Accounts Payable Manager

Job Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of Accounts Payable department, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and reconciliations.
- Ensure all AP processes comply with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements and maintain internal controls.
- Manage month/year end close process, review of P&L variances, and perform accurate and timely reconciliation of Accounts Payable sub-ledger to General Ledger.
- Develop and maintain vendor relationships and resolving escalated issues related to payments and discrepancies.
- Lead and mentor AP Team (5-8 team members), providing guidance and support for high performance.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency.
- Coordinate with and manage internal and external audits.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 5 years in AP managerial role with oversight of team larger than 5
- Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX)
- Proven leadership skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel) and ERP systems (SAP, JD Edwards, Oracle)
- Strong understanding of accounts payable processes, financial regulations, and internal controls.
- Effective organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with vendors, team members, and senior management.
