We are an industry-leading environmental contractor seeking an Assistant Project Manager Construction to join our team You will assist the senior project manager with project bidding, planning, scheduling, and implementation.

Responsibilities:

·         Ability to follow directions and take initiative when required

·         Assist in monitoring project expenses and budget adherence.

·         Assist in the preparation of change orders, RFIs and submittals.

·         Assist the project team with identifying and resolving quality issues that arise during the project and support the team in the  implementation and monitoring of quality control procedures.

·         Attend jobsite meetings with PM

·         Attend project meetings and assist in the resolution of any issues that may arise.

·         Commitment to position

·         Communicate and follow up with clients about specific projects

·         Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment

·         Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work is progressing as planned and according to specifications.

·         Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure project requirements are met.

·         Dependable - exceptional attendance and punctuality (no alternates)

·         Detail-oriented

·         Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.

·         Ensure job processes are followed in accordance with company policies and procedures.

·         Ensure site safety

·         Excellent communication and organizational skills

·         Field paperwork

·         Field productivities for estimating

·         Flexible schedule – emergency response, on-call rotation

·         Flexible/adaptable to changing priorities

·         Generate invoices for clients based on services rendered and in coordination with the Project Manager

·         Help in the preparation of take-offs, change orders and project expenditure reports.

·         Help with scheduling of the project

·         Lead crews

·         Maintain project documentation, including contracts, permits, drawings, specifications, and logs.

·         Microsoft Office- Word, Excel, Outlook

·         Monitor project progress and report on the status to the PM

·         Perform work safely and effectively.  Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies.

·         Place materials orders for projects

·         Prepare and distribute project status reports, meeting minutes, and other project-related documents.

·         Prepare JSAs & HASPs

·         Project closeout

·         Quality control

·         Receive and track weekly field reports.  This is to include safety/toolbox reports, preconstruction, daily and weekly production reports and any other specific report.

·         Regular, reliable attendance

·         Represent ERI in a professional manner at all times

·         Requires strong organizational, communication, time management, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

·         Respond to emergencies

·         Responsible for supporting the PM in ensuring that project objectives are met, deadlines are achieved, and project quality standards are maintained.

·         Responsible for working with the team to deliver exceptional quality and customer service to clients, to understand the goals and direction of the company and work toward generating profits.

·         Sense of urgency – meet response times onsite and contractual deadlines

·         Set up new jobs

·         Strong writing skills

·         Support the PM in identifying and addressing potential cost overruns.

·         Support the PM in identifying and setting up subcontractors and preparing subcontract documentation.

·         Support the PM in planning, directing, and coordinating projects from preconstruction through closeout.

·         Willingness to learn and accept new duties as necessary

·         Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines.  Work hours necessary.

·         Work productively and meet timelines

·         Write project reports

 

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in construction management or other related fields
  • Strong leadership qualities
  • Deadline and detail-oriented
  • Positive, can-do attitude
  • Willingness to learn
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Estimating experience is a plus
