Learning and Development Specialist

The Learning and Development Specialist will be responsible for designing and conducting training as well as developmental programs to improve individual and organizational performance. They will also work with staff members at all levels within the organization to identify and resolve issues impacting operations. Furthermore, they will educate employees so that they are up-to-date on the latest technology, research, market information, and other areas as assigned. They will develop alternative training methods if expected improvements are not achieved.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Realpage product experience required
- Provide training to employees in person or online on various topics and programs.
- Ensure classes are scheduled at the appropriate intervals and levels to address operational concerns.
- Track training in the LMS system. Produce reports as needed for management.
- Travel frequently to communities to follow up on all new hires' training and support needs. Must be available by phone or email to troubleshoot questions efficiently and timely.
- Assist with the acquisition and disposition process of new communities.
- Assist with special projects as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.
Ideal Applicant would have:
- Ability to travel both locally and occasionally overnight.
- Working knowledge of multi-family property management.
- Ability to effectively present orally and in writing.
- Ability to communicate effectively in small group and training environments.
- Experience in problem-solving and troubleshooting software systems and bookkeeping.
- Working knowledge of RealPage products, including OneSite, Ops Technology, and LRO.
- 3-5 years of multifamily property management experience, adult education, and training.
- Four-year college degree and/or a combination of relevant experience in property management / adult education and training and IT systems required.
