Job Summary:

The Supervisor of Quality and Compliance ensures adherence to quality standards and compliance requirements throughout Standard Fiber's operations. This role collaborates closely with teams to align production processes with regulatory standards and customer expectations, implementing protocols to enhance service delivery and support company objectives.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Train and oversee a team of QC Inspectors.
  • Provide training and guidance to production line staff on quality standards and assessment.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with sales and production teams to establish production sample processes.
  • Review target samples to understand customer requirements clearly.
  • Oversee approval of all customer samples before distribution.
  • Implement Quality Manuals to uphold quality standards.
  • Conduct comprehensive inspections and audits:
  • Inbound inspections of materials and finished goods
  • Sample, inline, and periodic inspections
  • In-store inspections and reviews
  • Develop a "report card" system for continuous improvement among suppliers.
  • Assist in implementing SF testing processes with proper documentation.
  • Perform required tests and self-testing to maintain quality standards.
  • Ensure facility compliance with legal regulations and customer vendor guides.
  • Track and document defects for each purchase order based on AQL standards.
  • Utilize industry-best practices for sample inspection, including precise measurement and functional checks.
  • Ensure all finished products meet specifications through rigorous testing and inspection.
  • Initiate re-work processes for non-conforming products, ensuring thorough documentation.
  • Record inspection results meticulously, maintaining comprehensive reports and logs.
  • Provide production line assistance as needed, including detailed tasks such as fluffing and trimming.
  • Take ownership of inline and final inspections for thorough quality assurance.

Qualifications:

  • Strong sense of responsibility, adherence to deadlines, and effective follow-up skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in MS Office365; familiarity with NetSuite is advantageous.
  • Ability to lead and train teams, particularly those new to the industry.
  • Knowledge of quality and compliance requirements in retail sectors.
  • Experience with third-party audit companies (CTL, SGS, Intertek, Bureau Veritas).

Education and Experience:

  • 5+ years in textile industry quality and compliance management.
  • Experience implementing QMS and SOPs.
  • Bachelor’s degree in quality management or 5 years of relevant experience desired.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Endurance for prolonged standing and mobility.
  • Adaptability to manufacturing environment conditions (temperature, dust, noise).
  • Manual dexterity for detailed tasks and inspections.
  • Capability to travel between locations as needed.
