Position Overview:
This role is crucial for ensuring that materials and products meet quality standards and are free from defects. The Quality Control Specialist will collaborate with the manufacturing team, maintaining accurate records of quality issues and facilitating corrective actions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement and uphold company and regulatory quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Conduct, document, and assess chemical and physical tests to monitor production quality.
  • Review and audit product quality data in accordance with established procedures.
  • Manage nonconformance processes through effective record-keeping and root-cause analysis.
  • Report quality deviations to supervisors and assist in resolving persistent issues.
  • Develop and refine quality control procedures to enhance product integrity.
  • Investigate product quality complaints and ensure compliance with company guidelines.
  • Provide technical support to project teams and department heads.
  • Identify and assist in the reclassification of rejected materials.
  • Recommend improvements in processes and product evaluations.
  • Conduct process audits as required by operational protocols.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in metallurgy, chemistry, or a related field; five years of experience in Quality Assurance, preferably in manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of quality assurance methodologies and tools.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical documents and regulations.
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations relevant to quality control.
  • Strong reasoning skills to analyze data and identify solutions.
  • Familiarity with word processing, spreadsheet, and database software.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings.
  • Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Capability to sit for extended periods and walk throughout the facility.
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull items weighing up to 15 lbs.
  • Authorized to work for any employer in the US.
