SUMMARY

The Director of Marketing works closely with the Leadership Team in planning, managing, and coordinating activities of marketing and events. This person manages the events department to successfully create and execute association events and manages and executes the marketing plan as set for the association by performing the following duties. The Director of Marketing reports to the Chief Business Officer.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

  • Leads the Marketing department to meet the goals and objectives of the company
  • Works directly with Leadership Team to align on organization strategy
  • Supervise work flow for all event production including all collateral and marketing needs.
  • Prioritizes, tracks, handles, and maintains records of the costs and reporting for all events.
  • Coordinates all outreach or communication of the association in regards to brokers, agents and other targeted audiences.
  • Attends professional and social events relevant to the association marketing strategies.
  • Attends all SDAR events or other events as requested.
  • Participates and supports marketing and promotion planning.
  • Manages day-to-day operations within department, as well as the marketing and communications budgets in accordance with the annual budget set forth.
  • At times may represent employer during community projects and at public, social, and business gatherings.
  • Works with CEO and Leadership Team to maintain branding strategy and marketing plan.
  • Maintain integrity of trademark and copyright position based on branding strategy and standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.
