JOB SUMMARY:

CUENTO’s Creative Director will work with a variety of clients on full scope creative ideation, conception, hands-on production and execution. The ideal candidate is a solutions-oriented leader, focused on an innovative and fresh approach to creative storytelling. As CUENTO’s Creative Director, you will drive the overall visual narrative, ensuring campaign styling and deliverable execution aligns with brand standards and campaign goals. The role requires the ability to manage and lead a team of designers, producers and video editors (along with various external vendors) while working on a variety of projects at once. A combination of creative talent, strategic thinking and leadership will be required to excel in this role as will the ability to work collaboratively across the entire organization (and directly with clients).

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with CUENTO client experience team and/or directly with clients to develop creative, original and innovative concepts and produce on-brand, professional creative (including both design and video elements).
  • Develop the creative vision for CUENTO and its clients to ensure consistency across all touchpoints.
  • Oversee, manage and lead creative concepts from ideation through execution and for a variety of clients and projects, balancing a fast-paced environment and varying brand standards.
  • Lead, conceptualize and oversee content creation including but not limited to branding materials, advertising campaigns, digital media, print collateral, large format signage, merchandise concepts, logos, product packaging, commercials, content series and social media content.
  • Develop and implement brand standards and visual identity for clients.
  • Drive and manage deliverable output by leading the QC process.
  • Oversee, mentor and develop creative design and production team through proactive leadership, enhancing the department’s overall skills through the development of new techniques and technology.
  • Implement creative and innovative solutions to drive efficiency and stay on trend and aligned with technology and innovation.
  • Develop and manage budgets, internal resource allocation and third-party design and video resources.
  • Oversee multiple projects across our diverse clients and industries and ensure excellent project management, time management and timely delivery of project assets.
  • Review and approve all creative design and video deliverables to ensure accuracy and consistency while providing feedback to deliver best in class work to clients.
  • Develop vision, coordinate, and oversee static and video production to include various levels of on-site production needs.
  • Direct, produce and at times build on-site productions including set design and tactical execution.
  • Maintain knowledge and upkeep of industry trends and standards while continuing education around technology, techniques and creative executions.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Must meet the following minimum requirements:

 

  • Minimum of ten years professional work experience.
  • Expert in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere); Adobe After Effects a plus. Experience in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Experience in creating marketing/advertising campaigns — from developing the vision to overseeing production on time and within budget
  • Ability to think creatively and strategically.
  • Strong knowledge of brand development and marketing platforms and trends.  
  • Must demonstrate a knowledge of file setup, page layout, typography, color ways, design standards and principles.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience in creating integrated content across all marketing channels: digital, social media, paid media, mobile, offline, and print.
  • Demonstrates a strong knowledge working with large and small format printers as well as merchandise vendors and delivering print-ready art with proper setup.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, communicative and resourceful with a strength in time-management.
  • Experience managing and directing photo and video shoots a plus.
  • Experience in a variety of industries a plus. (With a strong consideration given to past campaign and creative work in sports.)
  • Track record of working well cross departmentally and collaborating successfully with a variety of individuals and job functions.
