Overview:

Our manufacturing partner in Morristown, TN, is seeking a highly skilled ERP Technical Analyst with experience in Infor XA, RPG programming, and IBMi Query. This role is pivotal in evaluating and implementing new technologies, designing and developing processes, and leading a team of developers. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and be passionate about driving efficiency and innovation within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and Implement Technologies: Assess and integrate new technologies to enhance the company’s ERP system.
  • Process Design and Development: Design, develop, and optimize business processes to support internal customers.
  • Leadership and Supervision: Lead, recruit, hire, and train a team of developers, serving as the technical lead and mentor.
  • Research and Innovation: Conduct research to identify new technologies that increase efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Best Practices: Develop and enforce best practices and programming standards within the team.
  • Requirements Definition: Collaborate with users to understand requirements and translate them into application designs.
  • Project Management: Create work plans for application development projects and write detailed specifications for application enhancements.
  • Testing and Support: Conduct unit, system, and user testing; provide support for IBMi Power 9 and interfaced applications to ensure uninterrupted operation.
  • Troubleshooting: Oversee application troubleshooting and problem resolution, analyzing and debugging daily production issues.

Qualifications:

  • Technical Proficiency: Strong proficiency in writing and testing RPG code, and experience with Infor XA - Enterprise Integrator.
  • IBMi Query Experience: Demonstrated experience with IBMi Query.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with additional ERP systems and technologies.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and environments.
  • Project management experience and certifications.
