The Service Manager is responsible for managing the Service sewer and drains department, ensuring efficient operations, and maintaining high standards of service delivery. This role includes overseeing shop material inventory, purchasing, vehicle and equipment maintenance, and supervising the service team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Shop Operations Management
  • Oversee daily operations of the service department.
  • Ensuring timely and efficient response to customer needs.
  • Monitor and evaluate service performance, implementing improvements as needed.
  • Team Supervision:
  • Supervise and support Service technicians and staff.
  • Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team skills and performance.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
  • Shop Material Inventory and Purchasing:
  • Manage shop material monthly inventory, ensuring adequate stock levels to meet operational needs.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure the timely and cost-effective procurement of materials.
  • Purchase shop materials from the suppliers based on bid pricing.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Vehicle Maintenance:
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of service vehicles to ensure they are in safe and operational condition.
  • Coordinate with external vendors for vehicle repairs and maintenance as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance and service history.
  • Customer Service:
  • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by addressing and resolving customer complaints and issues promptly.
  • Develop and implement customer service policies and procedures to enhance service delivery.
  • Safety and Compliance:
  • Ensure all operations comply with health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Investigate and report any accidents or incidents in a timely manner.

QUALIFICATIONS ON REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in business management or a related field is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in service management or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of sewer, drains, and service operations, equipment, and materials.
  • Proven experience in inventory management and purchasing.
  • Experience in vehicle maintenance and fleet management.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems and CRM software for scheduling, inventory management, and reporting.
  • Ability to speak Spanish would be a plus.
  • CDL License is a plus
