Position Summary
Golf Course Assistant General Manager
SALARY RANGE: $40,000 to $65,000 Additional Profit Sharing with qualification.
We are actively recruiting for the Assistant General Manager position at Cole Acres Golf & Grill. We are looking for a motivated, high-energy individual to provide leadership and direction to a up and coming family friendly experience
This role may require overseeing day-to-day operations within our organization, providing direct feedback to staff, managing personnel databases, interview and hiring new staff. Other duties will vary, depending on personnel.
Essential functions & responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Mentorship, leadership, coordination and performance development of front of house staff.
Maintaining safety and food quality standards.
Provide best-in-class hospitality experience to our guests.
Teach effectively and work with the other members of the staff.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, golf course users and the general public
Enforce course regulations and policies firmly, tactfully and impartially
Plan, supervise, assign and coordinate activities of employees
Training staff to follow restaurant procedures and meet customer service expectations.
Tracking and submitting employee schedules and payroll.
Tracking inventory levels and working with vendors to complete orders.
Ensuring all end of day cash outs are correctly completed.
Self-evaluation and consistent identification of areas where knowledge or performance improvement can be identified and actioned.
Work various shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
Ability to obtain and maintain required licenses and certifications for your location.
Work with General Manager in staff recruiting, hiring, scheduling, oversight and performance evaluations.
Oversee golf course play.
Supervises and performs routine custodial and minor maintenance work of the clubhouse facility.
Keeps General Manager informed of work progress, including present and potential work problems and suggestions for new or improved ways of addressing such problems.
Respond to customer’s questions and comments in a courteous manner.
Other duties assigned.
Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Considerable knowledge of golf course, clubhouse and food / beverage operations
- Considerable knowledge of food and beverage management practices and standard techniques.
- Considerable knowledge of the occupational hazards, safety precautions and safety training applicable to golf course and restaurant activities
- Ability to develop and maintain good public relations
- Ability to perform a wide variety of duties related to golf course and restaurant operations
- Ability to make decisions recognizing established practices and to use resourcefulness and tact in solving problems
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
- Skill in use of software applicable to golf course clubhouse operations
- Ability to follow a management philosophy that is input oriented and values problem solving and the development of partnerships
- Demonstrated ability to be a team player
· Stand & walk for long periods of time including maneuvering up and down stairs.
- Desire to be a part of an organization that values service, people, integrity, responsibility, innovation and teamwork.
