America's best firearm components supplier is seeking a Manufacturing Design Engineer.

TITLE: Manufacturing Design Engineer

GRADE: Salaried

DIVISION: Manufacturing/Engineering

LOCATION: Princeton, IL

REPORTS TO: Director of Manufacturing

DATE: 06/09/21

 

1. GENERAL SUMMARY: Manages a combination of Manufacturing & Engineering tasks and special projects as assigned by Management. The primary focus of this position is:

· Combination of Experience in both Tool/Fixture Design & Build

· Assist with Design & Implementation of New/Existing Tooling & Fixtures

· Programming Assistance of CNC Machines (CAD Cam a Plus)

· Project Management of New Product, Programs & Machinery Installation

 

2. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

· Responsible for Estimated Project Cost and Potential Savings

· Ability to Manage and Prioritize Multiple Projects Simultaneously

· Work Hand-in-Hand with Production & Quality Department.

· Reviewing/Resolve Manufacturing Issues on the Shop Floor

· Review Manufacturing Feedback Requests

· Make Appropriate Changes to Tooling Prints & BOM’s

· Perform Tool Standards & Tool Life Reviews

 

3. JOB REQUIREMENTS:

· Five to Seven Years of Experience as a Tool Builder/Designer - Required

· Proficient SolidWorks Experience Required / Working Knowledge of AutoCAD

· Strong Mechanical Aptitude

· Five-Plus Years of CNC Machining Experience

 

4. FORMAL TRAINING:

· BS Degree Preferred and/or Equivalent Experience
