Position Title: Building Engineer - Union - Day Shift
Role Overview:
The Building Engineer is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of various building systems, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing components. This role involves addressing service requests, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring optimal performance of all systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the operation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical and electrical systems, including air handling units, pumps, and control systems.
- Execute electrical circuit installations and repairs, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Conduct plumbing repairs, including the installation of restroom fixtures and pipe work.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks, such as filter changes and lubrication of mechanical components.
- Inspect and maintain emergency generator systems and associated equipment.
- Document inspections and maintenance activities, providing reports to management as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operation of all building systems.
Qualifications:
- Certification in relevant mechanical trades or trade school education in HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, or related fields.
- A minimum of five years of experience in building system operations and maintenance.
- Possession of a valid State of New Jersey Black Seal License.
- Demonstrated expertise in repairing and maintaining electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Ability to safely perform physical tasks, including lifting heavy equipment and working in confined spaces.
- Proficient in using hand and power tools relevant to the trade.
Work Schedule: Day Shift, Monday to Friday
