1. Evaluate new and existing product designs to improve manufacturability.

2. Initiate and follow up on design change requests that will enhance manufacturing.

3. Estimate production times and related costs to provide information for management decisions

4. Develop manufacturing methods and tooling as required to reduce product cost and lead time.

5. Justify, implement capital improvement purchases to improve operations, reduce product cost & max efficiency.

6. Establish new products in the system, assigning product routings and structures to ensure proper information is available for manufacturing.

7. Manage outsourcing of manufactured parts as necessary, including providing technical support to suppliers and issuing purchase order.

8. Investigate manufacturing problems and establish corrective measures to prevent reoccurrence.
