Inside Sales Representative

Position Overview

We are looking for a motivated and well-spoken Inside Sales Representative (ISR) to join our team.  The Inside Sales Representative is the eyes, ears, and voice of our company.  Through effective communication with customers, you will solidify existing customer business and turn new leads into lasting relationships.  As an ISR, you will receive and respond to web based and emailed inquiries, leads, and phone calls that result from our website and referrals by satisfied customers.  Executing customer communications primarily via email and telephone, the ISR responds to leads and inquiries.  The ISR generates quotations within the company’s pricing guidelines and strategies, and is responsible to ensure that orders are entered in compliance with our customers’ requirements.  

A successful ISR will build instant rapport and earn repeat business.  A top Inside Sales Representative must be a good listener, a lifelong learner, able to understand and communicate technical/mechanical concepts, and assist the Sales Department with establishing and implementing pricing and marketing strategies.  

 

Responsibilities

·      Maximize revenue by developing strong relationships with existing and prospective customers through a consultative sales approach: asking the right questions and providing helpful solutions for your customers    

·      Respond to requests for quotation quickly, clearly, and completely  

·      Learn and respond to customers’ commercial and technical requirements, provide relevant information, and grow business by helping the customer select the right products, providing outstanding service, and effective communication   

·      Prepare orders for entry by ensuring complete and accurate commercial and technical information that meets internal as well as customer requirements   

·         Recognize and pursue opportunities for improvement in departmental processes and organization

Required Skills

·         Strong listening, sales, and customer service skills

·         Attention to detail and follow-through

·         The courtesy, attitude, and dependability to show up ready to work, on time, every day. 

·         Business or technical degree preferred but not mandatory, mechanical aptitude and interest is a must  

·         Strong business ethics

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including proficiency with grammar and spelling

·         Good organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines

·         Proficiency in the use of Microsoft office tools.

·         Willingness and ability to learn our ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics), various online purchasing systems employed by our customers, and keep up with common office technologies as they develop.  

·         Must be a willing and interested lifelong learner   

Education

Bachelors Degree preferred, but not required.
