Inside Sales Representative (Entry Level)

Cincinnati, OH

$50k - $70k/Annually plus full benefits

The Inside Sales Representative plays a crucial role in driving the company's sales within the freight industry. Their primary duties include, continue to build and develop new business, identifying and prospecting potential customers, building strong relationships with existing and new clients, and providing them with valuable service information. By understanding customer needs, the Inside Sales Representative can effectively recommend the most suitable solutions. They are responsible for generating sales leads, following up on inquiries, and providing quotations. 

This role provides mentorship, training and growth into management. We are looking for a go-getter and hunter who wants to grow with us

Main Responsibilities

  • Identifying and prospecting potential customers within the freight industry 
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and new clients
  • Providing service knowledge to customers
  • Generating sales leads and following up on inquiries
  • Preparing and presenting sales proposals and quotes
  • Collaborating with the outside sales team to meet sales targets
  • Keeping up-to-date with industry trends and competitors
  • Maintaining accurate sales records and CRM databases 
  • Working with customers and Sales Service Team Members to resolve billing and invoicing issues
  • Providing excellent customer service and addressing any customer issues or complaints
  • Participating in sales meetings, trainings, and conferences
  • Contributing to the development of sales strategies and marketing initiatives

Education

  • A bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, marketing, sales, or a related field preferred

Skills

  • 1 year of previous experience in inside sales, marketing or a customer service role is preferred
  • Experience in the logistics or freight industry highly preferred
  • Strong communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with internal and external customers
  • Excellent negotiation and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Time management and organizational skills to handle multiple tasks and priorities effectively
  • Adaptability and resilience
  • Must have a strong, team-oriented work ethic with strong focus on safety and environmental compliance
