Finance Manager needed for an international leasing start-up company located in Irvine CA. 

Direct Hire opportunity. Pay range is $100k-150k/yr, depending on experience. Hours are 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM, Monday - Friday. 

Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management and Reporting:

  • Oversee and manage the entire accounting function, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Supervise Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) processes, including invoicing, payment matching, and daily updates to the AR register.
  • Conduct monthly financial tasks such as bank reconciliations, insurance payments, rent payments, interest payments, loan payments, and ensuring sufficient funds in each bank account.

Business Analysis and Strategic Planning:

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the company’s financial and business operations, focusing on key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Establish and maintain a robust business analysis system and management reporting framework.
  • Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to support business decision-making.

Process Improvement and Efficiency:

  • Lead initiatives to enhance financial processes and workflows, driving efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Oversee relevant projects related to business finance alignment and system development.

Data Management and Integrity:

  • Ensure the accuracy and quality of financial data by optimizing system data management processes.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records to facilitate effective decision-making and external reporting.

Stakeholder Engagement and Communication:

  • Prepare and present financial materials for external audits, investment partners, and key stakeholders.
  • Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support financial objectives and compliance.

Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
  • Manage risk by implementing and monitoring internal controls and financial procedures.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Mentor and develop junior accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate with other departments to support overall company objectives and strategies.

Requirements:

  • MUST HAVE Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. Master's is a plus. 
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in accounting or finance.
  • Extensive experience in financial reporting, analysis, and strategic planning.
  • MUST HAVE IPO experience. 
  • MUST HAVE Operations experience. 
  • Professional certification such as CPA (US) is required.
  • Proficiency in advanced office software, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Exceptional self-motivation, proactive approach, and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to solve complex financial problems and analyze data.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
