Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Care Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist clients with personal care and household tasks to help them maintain their independence and quality of life. This role requires a high level of professionalism, empathy, and a strong commitment to client care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meal Preparation: Assist with planning, preparing, and serving meals.
- Housework/Chore: Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and other chores.
- Managing Medications: Assist with medication reminders and management.
- Transportation: Provide transportation to appointments, errands, and social activities.
-Hygiene: Assist with personal hygiene tasks, including bathing, grooming, and toileting.
- Dressing: Assist with dressing and undressing, ensuring client comfort and appropriateness.
- Locomotion: Assist with mobility, including walking, using stairs, and transferring from one place to another.
- Eating: Assist with feeding and meeting nutritional needs.
- Phone Use: Assist with making phone calls as needed.
Schedule:
Sundays - Saturdays: 10AM to 5PM
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in caregiving or a related field preferred.
- Compassionate, patient, and reliable.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to handle physical demands such as lifting and assisting with mobility.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
