Direct Care Worker B Shift

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Care Worker to join our team at Communicare, a community mental health center in North Central Mississippi.
Job Summary:The Direct Care Worker will provide direct care and support to individuals with serious mental illness, intellectual and developmental disabilities, and substance abuse disorders. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the Supervised Living Supervisor and will be responsible for providing assistance with daily living activities, transportation, and community integration.
Responsibilities:- Provide direct care and support to individuals with serious mental illness, intellectual and developmental disabilities, and substance abuse disorders.
- Assist with daily living activities, including medication management, money management, and personal care.
- Transport clients to various activities, appointments, and community events.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of individualized care plans.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervised Living Supervisor.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to perform the responsibilities of the job as listed above.
- Must be CPI certified or able to complete CPI training and any other training required by DMH and Communicare.
- Ability to relate positively to individuals who are served through the Supervised Living program and their families.
- A current valid driver's license, automobile insurance, and an insurable driving record must be maintained continuously throughout employment.
