Job Summary:
The Billing Specialist manages TLE Corporate childcare centers' billing and collections processes. This role requires close collaboration with the center management teams to ensure accurate and timely billing and collection activities. The Billing Specialist will oversee the reconciliation of agency billings and collections, audit billing and collections for private and agency-paid families and submit monthly children's attendance and invoices to respective agencies for assigned schools. Additionally, the role includes assisting center management with adjustments of billed accounts due to changes in rates, credits, and billing errors.
Key Responsibilities:
Billing and Collections Management:
- Oversee and manage all billing and collection activities for the childcare center.
- Ensure accurate and timely invoicing for both private pay and agency-paid families.
- Reconcile agency billings and collections regularly.
- Submit monthly childrens attendance and invoices to respective agencies for assigned schools
- Conduct regular audits of billing and collection processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Reconcile billing discrepancies and resolve any issues related to agency and private pay collections.
- Interact with center management to provide updates and reports on billing and collections status.
- Assist center management with adjustments of billed accounts due to changes in rates, credits, and billing errors.
- Communicate effectively with families and agencies regarding billing inquiries and issues.
- Ensure accurate records of billing and collections activities within the center management program.
- Prepare and present monthly billing reports to center management.
- Ensure all billing and collection documentation follows agency requirements and regulations.
Education and Experience:
- Associate or bachelors degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in billing, collections, or a similar role, preferably in a childcare or educational setting.
- Strong understanding of billing and collections processes.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to conduct detailed audits and reconciliations.
- Proficient in using billing software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in work.
