Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescription:The Education Program Technician will partner with stakeholders, address system and stakeholder needs, while maximizing efficiency while providing exceptional customer service. This position demands a combination of robust technical competencies and exceptional relationship building skills. The Education Program Technician provides administrative assistant support to the Practice and Education Department. The Education Program Technician supports system-wide education to meet the organization’s strategic goals and mission.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Coordination of education and practice-related technical programs and systems.

  • Proficient within the Learning Management System (LMS) application.
  • Responsible for system data integrity including accuracy of key data, workflows and reporting, and system communications.
  • Provide daily support and troubleshooting for administrators, managers, and employees, ensuring smooth system-wide LMS utilization.
  • Maintain quarterly assignment grid.
  • Regular review of eLearnings for timeliness and relevance.
  • Recommend modifications to capitalize LMS system.

Develop processes to ensure the LMS is the source of truth for each employee’s learning and development documentation.

  • Serves as subject matter expert with the LMS application, able to identify solutions that can be achieved using the LMS and identifying alternative solutions when the LMS doesn’t have the required ability for an enterprise need.
  • Service as Excellian back-up controller:
  • Supports primary Excellian administrator by helping to maintain appropriate Excellian access for all staff requiring access.
  • Maintain relationship with Allina Excellian team, seeking process improvement and expert knowledge.
  • Stay proficient with Excellian, capitalizing on resources available.
  • Initiates orientation to Excellian and LMS applications.

Coordination and support for attainment of education and certification requirements.

  • Maintain the Life Safety book library Coordinate scheduling of education classes
  • Partner with vendors to provide onsite/virtual education

Administers and coordinates onboarding and off-boarding functions

  • Prepares and coordinates intake of new hire pre-employment onboarding requirements associated with education and licensure/certification (i.e. background checks, certifications, licensure, etc)
  • Schedules orientation day meetings for new hires; coordinates and communicates with appropriate parties in a timely manner
  • Conducts organizational new hire orientation (through direct presentation and coordination of key presenters and materials)
  • Ensures all orientation documentation and training records for new hire records are complete and provided to Human Resources for retention in personnel files
  • Monitors compliance with and completion of department-specific orientation and onboarding; receives and records documentation appropriately.

Coordinates and maintains records for ongoing certification, licensure, education, and other related compliance requirements.

  • Maintains educational records in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements
  • Ensures employee licensure background checks, and certifications, and other applicable educational requirements are appropriately documented and current and valid; responsible to ensure leadership and HR are notified of compliance risks for expiration.
  • Conducts regular audits to ensure compliance standards are appropriately monitored.

Oversees the student/intern programs such as nursing student rotations, high school student job shadows, etc.

  • Ensures compliance of program with regulatory requirements

Must stay current with industry trends and application proficiency.

Collaborates on special projects, develops eLearning modules and maintains LMS platform.

Requirements:


Education & Licensure:

  • AA Degree in related field required; bachelor’s degree in related field preferred

Experience:

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience with LMS systems (preferably HealthStream).
  • Experience in project management and providing technical support.
  • Healthcare industry experience helpful

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent oral and written communication and listening skills
  • Strong problem solving, time management and collaboration skills.
  • Strong technical skills.
