Position Summary:

The Marketing Specialist, under the direction of the Marketing Manager, will develop and execute strategies to promote the services of Ironwood Cancer & Research Centers. This role emphasizes creating compelling content, managing social media, coordinating events, and fostering strong relationships with physicians and community healthcare providers. The ideal candidate should have a solid background in digital marketing, video creation/editing, content development, and healthcare marketing, combined with a passion for enhancing patient engagement and driving the growth of the practice. Performs job duties and responsibilities in compliance with company policies and procedures. Performs other duties and responsibilities as required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Content Creation & Management:

  • Create, host, produce, and manage multimedia content, including podcasts, videos, blogs, and other digital materials, to effectively promote practice services.
  • Collaborate with physicians, supportive care services staff, and patients to create compelling stories and educational content that aligns with the practice’s brand and values.
  • Manage and update the practice’s website and social media channels with fresh, engaging content.

Digital Media Management:

  • Develop and execute social media strategies to increase brand awareness, patient engagement, and community outreach.
  • Monitor and analyze social media metrics to optimize campaigns and report on performance.
  • Engage with followers, respond to comments and messages, and manage the practice's online reputation.
  • Optimize website content and keywords to enhance search engine visibility and drive traffic to the practice’s online platforms.

Physician Marketing:

  • Build and maintain relationships with referring physicians and healthcare providers through targeted marketing initiatives.
  • Coordinate and conduct daily lunch meetings, presentations, and informational sessions to promote practice services and foster strong professional relationships.
  • Track and analyze referral patterns and physician engagement to identify opportunities for growth.

Event Planning & Coordination:

  • Plan and execute marketing events, health fairs and community outreach programs.
  • Coordinate logistics, including venue selection, catering, materials, and promotion, to ensure successful events.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to maximize event impact and visibility.

Marketing Strategy & Execution:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing plans to support practice goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with the marketing manager to ensure alignment with overall practice branding and messaging.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and patient feedback to continuously improve marketing strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Thorough understanding of marketing elements (including traditional and digital marketing such as SEO/Social media etc.).
  • Proven experience in digital content creation, social media management, and event planning.
  • Portfolio showcasing examples of your content creation work, such as videos, podcasts, blogs, social media posts, or any other relevant marketing materials.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare marketing, patient engagement, and physician outreach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with a diverse audience.
  • Skilled in utilizing marketing tools and platforms, including social media management tools and video production and editing software.
  • Solid computer skills, including MS Office, marketing software (Adobe Creative Suite), and applications (Web analytics, Google Adwords etc.).
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS and web development tools (e.g. wordpress) desired.
  • Attention to detail for precise analysis of data.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Time management and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Healthcare Administration, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in marketing, preferably in the healthcare industry required.
