Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to join our pediatric healthcare team. The Clinical Pediatric Nurse Practitioner will provide specialized healthcare services to children from birth through adolescence under the supervision of pediatricians or other healthcare providers. This individual will play a crucial role in delivering comprehensive pediatric care, including diagnosis, treatment, and education for patients and their families.

Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct comprehensive health assessments on pediatric patients, including physical examinations, developmental screenings, and medical histories.
  2. Diagnose and treat common pediatric illnesses and injuries, and provide appropriate medical interventions.
  3. Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as laboratory tests, imaging studies, and screenings.
  4. Develop and implement individualized care plans for pediatric patients, in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare team members.
  5. Prescribe medications and treatments according to established protocols and guidelines.
  6. Provide patient and family education on preventive healthcare measures, disease management, and healthy lifestyle practices.
  7. Collaborate with pediatricians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure continuity of services.
  8. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, case conferences, and quality improvement initiatives.
  9. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including documentation of patient encounters, assessments, and treatment plans.
  10. Adhere to legal and ethical standards of practice, including patient confidentiality and informed consent.
Qualifications:
  1. Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited program.
  2. Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) and Nurse Practitioner (NP) in the state of practice.
  3. Certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (CPNP) or Pediatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (CPNP-PC) preferred.
  4. Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in pediatric healthcare settings.
  5. Proficiency in conducting pediatric physical assessments, diagnosing common pediatric conditions, and prescribing medications.
  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with pediatric patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  7. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a commitment to evidence-based practice.
  8. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  9. Knowledge of pediatric healthcare policies, regulations, and best practices.
  10. CPR certification and other relevant certifications may be required.
Work Environment:
The role may involve occasional evening or weekend shifts, as well as on-call duties for urgent patient needs.
