TheSolution Architect - Senior works on multiple IT projects as a member of aproject team and is responsible for the overall direction, guidance anddefinition of an architecture program that effectively supports ClientsBusiness Strategy. They assist in facilitating the development of thefuture-state architecture, ensuring its effective adoption. Further, SolutionArchitects interface across all business areas, acting as visionaries toproactively assist in defining the direction for future projects. They alsoconceive strategies, solutions, build consensus, and sell/execute solutions andare also involved in all aspects of the project life cycle, from the initialkickoff through the requirements analysis, design, and implementation.
The Solution Architect ensures applications and servers are built with bestpractices, reusability, and an understanding of how to use technology to bestmeet business needs. The role mirrors Clients commitment to provide support toensure projects are designed and built to support the Enterprise Architecture.

The Solution Architect demonstrates the ability to think and operate on boththe strategic and tactical levels (e.g., He/she is able to devise a short-termsolution that complements the longer-term goals).

He/she serves as a Change Agent who effectively challenges the status quo andhelps the team embrace improved methods and newer technologies.

He/she will be responsible for meeting and presenting to the EnterpriseArchitecture Review Council to gain approval and advice from all areas of IT toensure sustainable services and applications are created.

Deliverables
Create formal Conceptual and Solution Architectures and present to seniorstaff, business, and the Enterprise Architecture Review Council.

Requirements:
Bachelors degree, specialized training, or equivalent work experience.
Requires eight (8) to fifteen (15) years of experience in multiple IT areas andfive (5) to seven (7) years of relevant technology architecture experience.
Hands on Network Access Control (NAC) experience to coincide with requiredyears of experience.
Hands on Cisco Client experience to coincide with required years of experience.
Hands on Cisco DNA experience to coincide with required years of experience.

Preferred:
Well-grounded in state-of-the-art principles of architectural modeling,service-oriented architecture, enterprise information management and softwaredesign and development.
Solution Architect for two or more large-scale, heterogeneous IT programs.
Demonstrated success at developing solutions that solve business problems.
Demonstrated experience in the design and implementation of an SOA and Servicesin an enterprise setting.
Transportation Industry experience.
Broad IT experience in networking technologies.
Demonstrated knowledge of an EA frameworks.

COMMUNICATIONS AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
