Job Summary:

The Supply Chain Lead is responsible for the day to day responsibilities in the warehouse, vendor relationships, and intercompany communication with other departments.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating with other departments such as finance, marketing, and human resources to ensure that all aspects of the supply chain are addressed
  • Conducting research to identify potential suppliers for new products, technologies, or materials that can help improve the company’s offerings
  • Analyzing data and processes, finding creative solutions, generating reports and presenting findings to upper management and other departments, communicating with external suppliers and buyers, comprehending legal documents, and developing lasting relationships with others.
  • Create supply chain management strategies that increase efficiency and speed.
  • Update and maintain data in the system for the received items.
  • Prepare and upload invoice and packing list to current system.
  • Create processes ensure that the correct number and type of product is loaded and shipped, including packing and preparation of shipping paperwork.
  • Maintain acceptable efficiency rates of both quantity of products pulled as well as accuracy.
  • Maintain bin/shelf integrity by ensuring pulling areas are consistently free of debris (empty cartons, box tops, etc.) and by keeping product organized on shelves.
  • Operate any materials handling equipment safely and efficiently, as required.
  • Assist in maintaining the security and safety of the warehouse.
  • Assist, as needed, in placing incoming items in inventory.
  • Assist in receive and distribute incoming material.
  • Conduct basic inspection of incoming material.
  • Ensure accuracy of delivery dates from manufacturing facilities utilized by the company.
  • Maintain a high ethical standard of practice, including compliance with all company procedures.
  • Evaluate and report on KPIs.
  • Find cost-effective solutions for supply chain processes.
  • Resolve issues that come up (e.g. delays in delivery, accidents)
  • Additional duties as required.

Requirements and Preferred Experience:

  • 2-4 years of experience in a supply chain, purchasing, or warehouse environment.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, clients, and staff.
  • Strong computer competencies and experience using systems that support inventory management.
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Calendar.
  • Professional presentation skills, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and perform multifaceted projects in conjunction with daily activities.


Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds regularly, 75 pounds occasionally, and 100 pounds on occasion. Must be able to push and pull 75 pounds occasionally.
  • Working extended hours, including evenings and weekends may be required.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Must have a valid driver license.
  • Must pass drug screen, criminal background check and driver’s license check.
