Overview
Reporting directly to the Vice President of Operations, the Head of Supply Chain Operations is tasked with formulating and executing strategies to enhance Hudson Technologies' Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP), Supply Chain, and Vendor Management functions. This position will lead and manage interdisciplinary teams, ensuring the seamless movement of products from suppliers to end-users while promoting ongoing enhancements in SIOP, procurement, inventory oversight, logistics, and distribution methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
Supply Chain Strategy: Design and implement a holistic supply chain strategy that aligns with the overarching objectives of the organization.
Warehouse Management: Supervise the operations of company-owned storage facilities, ensuring optimal inventory management and order processing.
Logistics Coordination: Oversee transportation, distribution, and delivery operations to guarantee prompt and cost-efficient product delivery to clients.
Cost Efficiency: Identify and pursue opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiencies within the supply chain, negotiating advantageous agreements with suppliers and logistics providers.
Risk Mitigation: Formulate and execute strategies to mitigate risks associated with potential supply chain disruptions, including supplier challenges, natural disasters, or economic shifts.
Team Development: Cultivate and lead a high-performing supply chain team, promoting a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Performance Evaluation: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness and efficiency of supply chain operations.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all supply chain activities adhere to applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Innovation and Trends: Stay abreast of industry developments and emerging technologies, implementing innovative practices to enhance supply chain operations.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related discipline; a master's degree is advantageous.
- A minimum of 10 years of proven experience in supply chain management, demonstrating success in warehousing, logistics, SIOP, and vendor management.
- At least 5 years of experience in team leadership, showcasing strong leadership and team-building capabilities.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency in developing and executing supply chain strategies.
- Familiarity with supply chain software and technologies.
- Outstanding communication and negotiation abilities.
- Strong business acumen and financial insight.
- Experience with ERP systems is essential (D365 experience is a plus).
- Familiarity with advanced planning tools is beneficial, such as Logility, SAP-APO, or Kinaxis-Rapid Response.
- APICS certifications or similar supply chain credentials are preferred, such as CPIM, CTSC, CSCP, CLTD, or CPF.
