Harrisburg, United States Forma Medical, Inc. Full time
Job DescriptionJob DescriptionPAY TRANSPARENCY: USD Starting Range $50,000/year to $70,000/year.
Pay is commensurate with experience.

LOCATION: Harrisburg, PA. This is not a remote work role.
40 hours per week
========================================================================
Are you a resourceful, focused, high-energy sales support professional with some back-office/operations experience who is fully capable of independent problem-solving, diligent follow-up/attention to detail, exercising good judgment, and delivering on promises to customers? If so, we want to hear from you
Under the direction of the President, we are willing to train a talented individual to perform the technical tasks of this job. But we can’t train for the certain “magic” we seek in our newest team member. You either have “It”, or you don’t    . . .
  • If you are smart and scrappy, trustworthy, dependable, effective, willing to roll up your sleeves and do whatever it takes to get the job done, and “That’s not my job” is a foreign concept to you, keep reading … then make sure you apply for this job

After training, the best candidate for this job will take ownership of all aspects of their work, understanding that the key to success with this company is to show up for work each day with a willingness to learn something new and to tackle every challenge with a “can-do” spirit.

WHO WE ARE:

Leveraging the latest advancements in materials, biomechanics, and technology, the passionate team of orthopedic experts, engineers, and innovators at Forma Medical provides orthopedic surgeons with state-of-the-art implants, instruments, and other tools to perform minimally invasive surgery that results in reduced tissue damage, decreased pain, faster recovery, and improved patient outcomes.

WHY THIS JOB IS IMPORTANT TO US:

You will work with limited direct supervision to keep every aspect of our business operations humming like a well-oiled machine supporting all business development and sales initiatives, solving practical problems in situations where only limited standardization exists, and identifying/implementing the necessary process and/or systems to achieve a defined outcome.

  • The range of tasks is wide and diverse; this includes handling recurring, critical daily/weekly/monthly accounting functions (e.g., accounts receivable, accounts payable, journal entries, account reconciliation, etc.), and assisting our internal and external stakeholders with special processing or project work.

  • At the customer level, business support activities include responding to phone inquiries, opening/logging mail/parcels, maintaining timely, accurate, and confidential files/records/reports and database entries, assisting with account opening, servicing, payment, and closing processes according to established company procedures and performing other duties, as assigned.

  • Other primary duties include masterful management of the planning, coordination, compliance, and administrative details associated with shipping and receiving to ensure the efficient movement and delivery of products in and out of our facility and effective inventory management to contain costs and maintain the correct amount of stock is on hand to meet changing business needs.

This job requires professionalism and business maturity because plans frequently change without notice; what you do and how you do it directly impacts the business owners, distributors, and our customers. The best candidate for this job will be able to take surprises in stride and move forward in a new or different direction with renewed excitement, vigor, and determination.

ARE YOU A STRONG FIT FOR THIS ROLE? If so, apply now
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required; Associate degree or a more advanced degree in business administration or a related field of study is a definite plus.

  • Must possess “Day 1” proficiency with Quickbooks Online and Microsoft Office, including Excel (e.g. pivot tables, v-lookup,etc.) and working knowledge of general office equipment, coupled with the interest and ability to quickly develop proficiency with other high-tech software and systems.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage work requests from multiple sources and meet deadlines; superior time management skills and attention to detail are essential.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including mastery of correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, syntax, and tone are required.
  • Trustworthiness and maintaining confidentiality of customer and business matters is a key responsibility.
