Position: Accounts Receivable Specialist

Location: Great Neck, Long Island

Responsibilities for Accounts Receivable Specialist:

  • Reconcile, research client accounts, payments, unapplied cash, etc. as necessary
  • Follow up with clients regarding “skipped” payments and missed payment plan payments
  • Assist in generating/distributing reports for aged A/R and unbilled time, open invoices, credits, payment history and any other reports, as requested
  • Process returned mail particularly invoices and reminder statements
  • Assist and/or prepare accounts receivable write off requests and process approved write off requests
  • Acts as a liaison between the attorneys and their legal assistants and the Accounting Department
  • Prepare letters and emails to clients
  • Interact with Billing Coordinator(s) and A/P Coordinator regarding client account status

Requirements for Account Receivable Specialist:

  • Bachelor Degree preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in accounts receivable or accounting environment
  • Legal software experience highly preferred (i.e Aderant, Elite, 3E, ARCS etc.)
  • Knowledge of electronic billing platforms (eBilling Hub, Legal Tracker)
  • Superior organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Proficiency in Outlook, Word and Excel required
