Position Summary


The Marketing Specialist at the Oral Surgery Institute of the Carolinas is responsible for planning, executing, and analyzing marketing campaigns to promote the practice’s services, enhance its brand presence, and attract new patients. The specialist will work closely with the practice manager and clinical team to ensure that all marketing efforts align with the institute’s goals and values.


Key Responsibilities


Marketing Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to increase patient volume and brand awareness.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, target demographics, and competitive landscape.
  • Create a yearly marketing calendar, including digital campaigns, community outreach, and special events

Digital Marketing

  • Manage and optimize the practice’s website and social media accounts (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn).
  • Develop content for digital platforms, including blogs, newsletters, and social media posts.
  • Execute paid online advertising campaigns (Google Ads, Facebook Ads) and track ROI.
  • Use SEO and SEM strategies to improve online visibility and search engine rankings.

Content Creation

  • Develop high-quality marketing materials, including brochures, flyers, and patient education resources.
  • Coordinate with graphic designers, photographers, and videographers to produce engaging visual content.
  • Write and edit copy for all marketing communications, ensuring brand consistency and professionalism.


Community Outreach & Events

  • Plan and execute community outreach initiatives, including health fairs, seminars, and sponsorships.
  • Build relationships with local healthcare providers and referral sources to increase patient referrals.
  • Organize and manage events, including patient appreciation days and continuing education courses for dental professionals.


Patient Communication

  • Develop and implement patient engagement strategies, including appointment reminders, satisfaction surveys, and follow-up communications.
  • Manage online reviews and patient testimonials, promptly and professionally addressing negative feedback.


Analytics & Reporting

  • Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of marketing campaigns using tools like Google Analytics, CRM systems, and social media insights.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reports to track marketing performance and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Adjust marketing strategies based on data-driven insights and feedback.


Collaboration & Communication

  • Work closely with the clinical team to ensure marketing materials accurately reflect the practice’s services and expertise.
  • Collaborate with external vendors, including advertising agencies and print shops, to execute marketing campaigns.
  • Attend regular meetings with the practice manager and other staff to review marketing goals and progress.


Required Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in marketing, preferably in the healthcare or dental industry.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools, including Google Analytics, social media platforms, and CRM systems.
  • Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and experience in a healthcare setting is a plus.

  • Timely execution of marketing campaigns and initiatives.

Compensation & Benefits


  • Salary: $48,000 to $55,000
  • Benefits: Health insurance, retirement plan, PTO, etc.
  • Bonuses: Performance-based incentives.


Contract Terms


  • This position is a full-time, [insert contract length] contract.

  • Depending on event schedules, the position may require occasional evening or weekend work.
