How you will make an impact as a Revenue Cycle Billing Customer Service Specialist:
The Revenue Cycle Billing Customer Service Specialist is responsible for patient calls/questions regarding their accounts. Helping to assist our patient with accurate and dependable costs. Medical billing is a complex process that can confuse and frustrate our patient/hero. Therefore, it is essential for the RCM team to build processes that make it easy for our patient/hero to provide the demographic and insurance information required to begin their ADVENT journey. Every RCM team member’s encounter with our patient/hero is an opportunity to resolve their financial questions/concerns and strengthen the ADVENT brand through our kind and professional approach. RCM is important to ADVENT’s financial success by coordinating all phases of the billing process to ensure the excellent services our providers deliver are captured, billed, and paid correctly.
- Respond to patient calls/questions regarding their accounts
- Research and resolve accounts directed by management making appropriate decisions on accounts to be worked
- Pull out-of-pocket (OOP) costs and overall benefits for patients scheduled for upcoming visits
- Document concise out-of-pocket (OOP) costs appropriately in HER and save all necessary copies/documents
- Ability to research and resolve accounts directed by management making appropriate decisions on accounts to be worked
- Identify any issues or trends and bring them to the attention of management team
- Maintain detailed knowledge of EMR and electronic systems as they relate to job functions
- Support the overall success of the organization and perform other related duties as requested by leadership.

- Ability to demonstrate strong customer service skills, including, but not limited to phone skills and listening skills
