The Media Asset Manager will oversee and maintain all phases of digital media management within the company. From ingest to delivery, this person will help create processes, develop workflows, and maintain systems that handle any digital assets, including images, audio clips, videos and more. This person will also create the naming structure for files, handle access and permissions, and will maintain the organizational process so that all internal and external partners can easily access key media assets as needed.


Responsibilities

  • Develop a process for managing digital assets, which include but may not be limited to video, audio and digital images
  • Utilize said system to store and organize digital assets in one central location
  • Collect assets so they are functional and readily accessible
  • Maintain a media library with accurately cataloged assets
  • Apply meaningful metadata tags to assets according to a consistent methodology
  • Ensure file names for assets are descriptive, accurate, consistent and reflective of how the assets relate to the other files in the system
  • Clearly explain usage conditions and access procedures for company’s digital assets
  • Serve as an internal subject matter expert on the media asset management process, providing support and assistance to colleagues and partners
  • Handle all internal and external fulfillment requests in a timely manner
  • Monitor all live media acquisition during live broadcasts and make same media immediately available to multiple sources
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
  • Must have at least five years of experience in media asset management and media content production and delivery for a large client or company
  • Knowledge of server-based file systems, editorial / journalistic standards and styles, metadata management, various digital media formats, data anaylsis / reporting tools and technical troubleshooting
  • Experience with workflow optimization, asset performance analysis and market trends analysis to stay on top of latest trends in digital asset management
  • Experience with upholding brand standards when licensing media and managing those relationships to maintain compliance with various parties involved
  • Experience with the creation of quotes and executive agreements
  • Experience with media production a plus, especially within the News and Sports industries
  • Demonstrate diplomacy, decisiveness and strong people skills required to handle the high pressure of digital asset management
  • Experience training staff on workflows, processes and SOPs
  • Must be self-sufficient and able to work alone, yet strong collaboration skills are required
  • Must be detail oriented, meticulous and able to maintain confidentiality with sensitive materials
  • Ability to make time-sensitive decisions that will affect own work, as well as staff and production crews

Location

This role is based in Palm Beach Gardens, FL and will require travel.
