Company Overview:

Archimedes Asset Management, Inc.  (“Archimedes”) is an opportunistic family office headquartered in Newport Beach, CA. We specialize in acquiring, owning, and operating multifamily real estate (Affordable and conventional) and farmland. We are seeking a self-motivated and hard-working Asset Manager to join our small team and do whatever it takes to help us build our business.


Position Summary:

The Asset Manager will provide impactful decision support across several of the company’s business functions, including operational activities, acquisitions, dispositions, refinances, tax planning, CapEx initiatives, budgeting, and a broad range of entrepreneurial initiatives. This role is part of a small team, working directly with the President and Office Manager, facilitating day-to-day activities related to our existing portfolio and spearheading growth initiatives. The position requires a high level of autonomy, entrepreneurial initiative, and the ability to make critical financial and operational decisions. Our Existing Portfolio:

Archimedes’ diverse portfolio exceeds 1,000 multifamily units, 2,000+ acres of farmland and several smaller but unique and innovative projects including water rights, land conservation, efficiency grants, and 3rd party investments.  We are always on the move and looking for new ways to add value.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

·        Conduct complex discounted cash flow analyses using financial modeling techniques in Excel, providing strategic insights to the President.

·        Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports and strategic recommendations to the President, influencing key business decisions.

·        Perform acquisition underwriting and due diligence, including the review of all third-party reports.

·        Obtain and analyze market information relating to proposed or existing investments including taking the leading role in revenue management.

·        Track internal rates of return and complete all budgeting for existing properties.

·        Support, plan, budget, and manage capital initiatives.

·        Occasional travel to visit properties and develop CapEx initiatives.

·        Create and manage portfolio-level financial modeling and estate planning initiatives.

·        Manage lender-required reporting, insurance renewals, and compliance reporting. 

·        Happily perform any and all work needed to grow the organization.


Education and Experience:

·        Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in finance, real estate, economics, accounting, or engineering.

·        Real estate industry experience required.

·        3+ years of FP&A experience (or similar).

·        Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with excellent knowledge in Excel.


Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

·        Preferred certifications include Argus, REFM, and CFA Level I, demonstrating specific industry and job knowledge.

·        Eager to learn about and gain exposure to various verticals within the commercial real estate sector.

·        Ability to follow directions and accept constructive criticism and feedback.
