Purpose 

Supporting dealership Precision Agriculture Strategy through technology and expertise. Building strong customer relationships for mutual success. Leading and training personnel in Precision Ag technologies for efficiency and productivity. 

Responsibilities  

  • Supports the effective implementation and execution of the dealership's Precision Agriculture Strategy by providing valuable assistance, guidance, and expertise in utilizing cutting-edge technologies and data-driven solutions to optimize agricultural practices and drive overall business success. 
  • Develops strong customer and dealership personnel relationships by engaging in regular communication, actively listening to their needs, and providing personalized solutions. This approach fosters trust, loyalty, and long-lasting connections that go beyond just business transactions, ensuring mutual satisfaction and ongoing support for both parties involved. The dedication to building meaningful relationships is a key component of the company's commitment to exceptional customer service and overall success in the industry. 
  • Assists in leading and directing dealership personnel in the effective implementation of cutting-edge Precision Ag technologies, providing guidance and training to ensure seamless integration and proficiency across all departments. 
  • Serves as an invaluable internal resource for guiding the successful implementation and integration of cutting-edge Precision Agriculture technologies within the company's operations, ensuring optimal efficiency and productivity across all aspects of agricultural practices. 
  • Monitors and supports Connected Support calls to ensure seamless and efficient troubleshooting and resolution of technical issues for customers, providing timely and effective assistance to enhance the overall customer experience. 
  • Promotes Precision Ag Technology products to customers, a primary responsibility that requires a deep understanding of the latest advancements in agricultural technology and a knack for cultivating strong relationships with customers. From cutting-edge GPS guidance systems to advanced data analytics tools, the role involves matching the right products to meet the unique needs of each customer. By staying informed about industry trends and actively engaging with clients to identify their specific requirements, a successful sales approach can be developed to provide tailored solutions that drive productivity and efficiency in modern agriculture. 
  • Manages all aspects of John Deere subscriptions and renewals, ensuring timely updates and a seamless process for customers. Additionally, oversees the maintenance of subscription records, communicates with customers to address any concerns or questions they may have, and collaborates with the sales team to promote new subscription offerings effectively. This role plays a vital part in enhancing customer satisfaction and retention rates through efficient subscription management practices. 
  • Supports Precision Ag inventory management by analyzing data and providing detailed recommendations for inventory optimization. Whether monitoring stock levels, tracking equipment usage, or forecasting future needs, this solution offers valuable insights to help streamline operations and enhance overall efficiency in agricultural practices. 
  • Performs detailed diagnostics and expert repairs of advanced Precision Agricultural technology systems, utilizing cutting-edge tools and techniques to ensure efficient operation and optimal performance. 
  • Assists service technicians in diagnostics and repairs of Precision Ag technology by providing hands-on support and expertise throughout the troubleshooting process. Works collaboratively with the service team to identify issues and implement effective solutions to ensure optimal functionality and performance of precision agriculture equipment. 
  • Leverages John Deere Operations Center data and connected apps to assist customers in optimizing their agricultural operations and enhancing overall efficiency. By harnessing the power of cutting-edge technology and real-time data insights, this innovative approach empowers customers to make informed decisions that drive productivity and profitability in their farming endeavors.

Experience, Education, Skills, and Knowledge   

  • One or more years’ experience in an agriculture-related role  
  • Experience with sales, service, training, or other related work experience   
  • Proficient knowledge of electrical and wireless communication systems   
  • Ability to operate with a solutions approach and identify existing/emerging customer needs  
  • Solid organizational, interpersonal, analytical and communication skills needed  
  • Ability to work flexible hours including some evenings and weekends   
  • Ability to lift, bend and carry  
  • Experience using standard desktop applications like Microsoft Office and internet applications  
  • Valid driver’s license with an insurable record required
