SUMMARY OF POSITION:

As a lead C developer, you’ll help lead our development team in our quest to make the best payment software on the planet You’ll also work closely with and help direct our certification and QA teams.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • You’ll help lead a team of developers working on diverse projects to ensure they’re on the right track and able to give their best. We use a variety of tools to help us keep track of what everyone is working on.
  • This role is 80% coding and 20% project management with a little bit of people management thrown in. You’ll spend most of your time coding, but you’ll also help with coaching, reviewing and helping other developers grow. Don’t worry, you’ll have plenty of time to devote to coding. We’re looking for passionate coders who want to dip their toes into a little more responsibility than they’d have in just a senior coding position.
  • You’ll work primarily in the C language on our enterprise scale payment applications. Not only will you get to play with enterprise applications, but we also work with several integrated payment terminals. If you’re interested in communication protocols with specialized hardware, you’ll be in for a treat.
  • Additionally, you’ll help with design and architecting new features and products. We’re a payments company and we’re constantly developing new products. Along with enhancing our current products to ensure we’re competitive in the marketplace.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE):

  • 5+ years experience with C
  • Extensive knowledge of algorithms and data structures
  • Extensive scripting knowledge (e.g. Python, Bash)
  • Familiarity with DevOps & CI/CD
  • Familiarity with build systems such as CMake
  • Knowledge of security frameworks such as PCI-DSS or SOC2 (preferred)
  • High School Diploma or GED
