Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of the accounting cycle, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, and financial reporting.
  • Manage a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements according to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
  • Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial data integrity.
  • Analyze financial data, identify trends, and prepare reports to support informed business decisions.
  • Manage budgeting and forecasting processes, collaborating with department heads to develop realistic financial plans.
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely payments to vendors and collection of customer invoices.
  • Maintain strong relationships with external auditors and ensure a smooth audit process.
  • Stay up-to-date on accounting relations and best practices.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and implement technology solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field (CPA certification a plus)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a managerial accounting role.
  • Proven experience in all aspects of the accounting cycle.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with accounting software preferred.
  • Leadership skills and the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
