Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers through phone, email, and in-person visits.
  • Identify and establish contact with potential customers to expand market reach.
  • Follow up on potential sales leads and generate growth in the radiation shielding market and related product offerings.
  • Attend and coordinate industry trade shows to identify potential leads and create meaningful contact with existing customers.
  • Manage timely administration of orders to ensure effective communication and processing of customer orders, acknowledgments, and lead times.
  • Dedicate a minimum of 50% of weekly activities to meeting customers in person to prospect, identify needs, and create sales opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Associate or bachelors degree.
  • Minimum two (2) years sales experience, preferably in outside sales.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Publisher).
  • Ability to multi-task and self-manage.
  • Good mathematical skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as required for the role.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in distribution sales or technical sales.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, commodity purchasing, and contract negotiation.
  • Background in a manufacturing environment.
  • Physical capability to stand, walk, or sit for approximately eight (8) hours per day and to drive or travel by air as needed.
