Wage: $26 - $28/hour
Job Description:
The Payroll Specialist is responsible for the time and attendance system and works as a team preparing and processing a multi-state biweekly payroll in conformance with company policy and Federal and State regulations.
  • Audit employee time records companywide, working with remote locations to resolve issues.
  • Process employee additions and changes in the payroll system including earnings, deductions and benefit accruals.
  • Prepare and upload payroll related batch entries for biweekly payroll.
  • Audit payroll for accuracy.
  • Calculate manual payroll for terminations, special payments and garnishments as required.
  • Provide back-up payroll support for the Payroll and Benefits Administrator.
  • Assist the Payroll and Benefits Administrator with year-end processes.
  • Answer employee and management questions related to time and/or pay.
  • Assist with other projects as needed.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience with timekeeping and payroll processing. Multistate payroll processing experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of automated payroll and time & attendance systems.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient with Excel and data entry.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to handle confidential information.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills.
  • Candidates must be a positive and enthusiastic team member.
