SALARY: $23.95 - $24.20/Hour, Full-Time, Non-Exempt, Overtime Eligible

ABOUT OUR HOTEL

  • 4th largest hotel in Seattle. 557 rooms, 28,000 sq. ft of meeting space

JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking an enthusiastic, highly organized, tech savvy creative to support marketing and administrative functions within the sales and events department. This position reports to the Director of Sales and Marketing and the primary responsibilities are listed below:

  • Promptly answer telephone calls and communicate relevant account information to managers and departments.
  • Assists Director of Sales as liaison for marketing agency to assist onsite photo shoots, and media opportunities.
  • General understanding of digital advertising, SEO and keyword optimization/PPC strategy, social media ad performance metrics, as well as any experience measuring success of paid media.
  • Attends on site marketing events, and guest functions as ambassador of sales and marketing including meet and greets for group guest arrivals.
  • Print onsite collateral, welcome letters, and sales amenity cards.
  • Support the development and execution of annual sales and marketing plans, budgets, reports, and presentations.
  • Reserve and confirm rooms, meeting space, and banquet space when necessary for in house events and assists with onsite communication for the operations team of influencer and media visits.
  • Support hotel in day to day administrative tasks as needed to promote the hotel.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • College marketing degree preferred
  • Strong knowledge of the Seattle Region and various aspects of the local culture
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Suites.
  • Working knowledge of Marriott sales systems, a plus
  • Effective verbal/written communication, organizational customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexible and able to work well independently and as part of a team
  • Active involvement with social channels, event and special occasion coordination a plus
  • Demonstrable ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines
  • Well-organized with a customer-oriented approach
