PotomacWave is looking for a Facility Support Specialist to join our team supporting a Federal client in Washington, DC. This candidate shall assist the Division Director and Facility Manager in the execution and coordination of daily support operations, including property management, facility management, phone service management, supply and inventory management, and Continuity of Operations (COOP).

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the receiving of documents and controlling of sensitive equipment.
  • Implementing best practices for the utilization of office and administrative spaces
  • Conducting facility related surveys and inventories
  • Escort non cleared personnel around site
  • Coordinate and ensure the renovation, repair, and preventative maintenance work in the facility, including but not limited to:
    • Moving furniture
    • Handling garbage
    • Hanging shelving
    • Adjusting door closures
    • Checking mechanical rooms
    • Moving items to the loading docks
  • Coordinating facility requirements for inter-office relocation of assigned and reception of newly assigned personnel.
  • Take action to assure the uninterrupted telephone service, to include wireless devices and STE support, for Directorate personnel.
  • Track and control common use office equipment to assure supplies are adequate to the needs of the organization and that equipment is maintained in an operational status and repaired quickly when problems occur.
  • Participate in the execution of COOP activities for the Directorate as well as emergency building evacuation activities.
  • If necessary, be available to provide support during off-duty hours such as escort duty, and particularly for support for emergency or COOP events. A government cell phone will be issued

Qualifications:

  • Three (3) years’ experience in facilities operations, supply and inventory management, phone service support, or COOP is desired.
  • Ability to work productively in a team and even distribute workload
  • A high school diploma is required, an Associates degree or higher is preferred.
  • The selection of an individual for this position may be conditioned upon his or her successful completion of a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination.
  • Must have an active TS clearance.
