ABOUT THIS HUMAN SERVICES ROLE

Our Foster Care Supervisor is responsible for managing a small team of five caseworkers, closely overseeing their performance and ensuring they're properly handling their caseload. Motivated to deliver comprehensive care, you interview select staff members, determine their strengths and weaknesses, and help train them to improve their overall performance. You offer the caseworkers guidance and jump in to assist with their social service cases as needed.

Attentively, you document client progress and offer recommendations for optimizing our social work services. You provide weekly caseworker supervision, help set reasonable milestones, and ensure our services comply with relevant regulations and case plans. This is a collaborative role where you attend regular meetings, foster relationships with industry professionals and family members, and work with child welfare staff to help children attain happy, healthy homes

FOSTER CARE SUPERVISOR QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master's degree from an accredited social work program or another human services field OR a state social work license
  • Experience providing social services to children and families
  • Ability to collaborate with professionals from other organizations and disciplines
  • Appreciation for different cultural heritages and identities
  • Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and collaborative skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and time management abilities
  • Valid driver's license and proof of insurance
  • Ability to complete CARE and TCI training and pass required tests
  • Willingness to work an on-call rotation to assist with emergencies 24/7
