POSITION SUMMARY

The Accounting Manager will oversee and manage banking transactions to ensure all payments are correct. They will inspect banking information for errors and manage fraud mitigation. The Accounting Manager will manage inventory items between inventory categories and ensure all trucks manufactured have the necessary major components allocated to them.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

All employees are required to support Rosenbauer’s Mission, Vision, and Values. The following are the essential duties of this position and do not include marginal functions that are incidental to the performance of fundamental job duties. The scope and duties of a given position may change or be temporarily altered based on the business needs of Rosenbauer.

  1. Oversees and manages banking transactions to ensure all payments are correct.
  2. Inspects banking information for errors and manages fraud mitigation.
  3. Manages flow of inventory between inventory categories.
  4. Assists in coding all company invoices.
  5. Reviews payroll prior to submission for accuracy and completeness.
  6. Assists with month-end close by performing account reconciliations and adjustments.
  7. Calculates and distributes funds for commissions.
  8. Fills outs all credit applications for new dealerships.
  9. Performs other duties and responsibilities as required by management to meet the needs of the organization and our members.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSA’S): The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.

Knowledge, Education, and/or Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting required.
  • Masters degree in Accounting preferred.
  • CPA license preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting/finance required.
  • 7+ years of experience in accounting/finance preferred.

Skills:

Language:

  • Able to read, reason, and interpret financial reports and legal documents.
  • Able to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
  • Able to effectively present information to all levels of the organization, public groups, and/or board of directors.
  • Able to build relationships through excellent communication.

Math:

  • Proficient in data analytics related to accounting and finance.
  • Ability to calculate amounts for discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.

Computer:

  • Able to learn and navigate effectively in an ERP system, strong database knowledge (Power BI preferred) and intermediate Excel skills.

Abilities:

  • Excellent data analysis and trend identification skills with the ability to show the impact of the analysis on financial statements.
  • Able to work professionally across departments within Rosenbauer America, and with external partners.
  • Exceptional judgement and creative problem-solving skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • High level of organization, time-management skills, and self-discipline.
  • Analytically and highly motivated individual, with acute attention to detail.
  • Able to recognize the importance and adherence to all safety policies.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: Give Examples as Necessary

Driving- license: May be required to use Rosenbauer company vehicles.

Driving- Own Vehicle: May have to use own vehicle at times for travel.

Hours of work- Ability to work evenings and/or weekends occasionally: As needed to support department needs.

Travel- Local: Travel for tradeshows/training.

Travel- Overnight: Travel for tradeshows/training/visiting other Rosenbauer sites.
