Job Description

TIAG is now hiring a Senior Systems Engineer to join our team supporting our Naval Information Warfare Command (NIWC) customer out of Quantico, VA. This position is anticipated to be extended past the current contract date of 9/29/2024.

For this program TIAG provides a range of cyber security, Information Technology (IT) engineering services support, assessment and authorization (A&A), and cyber operations support including support for life-cycle management policy, guidance, oversight, and direction for a cyber analytics system.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Utilize model based system engineering (MBSE) tools and techniques to capture system functions, services, interfaces, requirements, and concept of operation
  • Apply MBSE practices for facility related industrial control systems (heating, ventilating, and air conditioning system, electrical power distribution system, and water treatment system)
  • Develop new tools, procedures, and documentations to support digital twin
  • Support requirements analysis and functional allocation to hardware, software, operator and other segments and components of the system(s) within the models
  • Integrate models from disparate stakeholders into a cohesive end-to-end environment to enable end-to-end architectural insight
  • Production of model views, including DoDAF products, to support program milestones and documentation
  • Enable the generation of systems engineering documentation for requirements, ICDs, systems design, CONOPS, verification and test
  • Collaborating with prime contractors, other team contractors, government civilians, and members of the U.S. Navy

Required Experience:
  • DoD Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor of Science (B.S.) or B.A. in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Engineering or similar preferred
  • 7 years of systems engineering experience including model based system engineering preferably in a DoD environment
  • Minimum certification as IAT Level II per DoD 8570.01, or successor
  • Knowledge and experience utilizing MBSE
  • Experience with NoMagic CAMEO highly desired
  • Experience with IA / INFOSEC concepts and requirements: Firewall Policy, Ports & Protocols, Cybersecurity, Cybersafe, DoD A&A processes and standards
  • Experience with the Defense Information Systems Agency published Security Technical Information Guidance (STIG) requirements and compliance process
  • Ability to manage time well to meet assigned milestones
