Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Automated Systems Engineer to join our client's team, specializing in automated storage systems, fix drops robots, and automated guarding vehicles. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in programming and design, with specific experience in the pharmaceutical industry, particularly in environments adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Responsibilities:

  • System Programming and Design: Utilize expertise in programming and design to develop and optimize automated storage systems, fix drops robots, and automated guarding vehicles.
  • Integration and Implementation: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate automated systems into existing infrastructure, ensuring seamless operation and maximum efficiency.
  • Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Proactively identify and resolve issues with automated systems, conducting routine maintenance to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Create and maintain comprehensive design documents and technical specifications, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, especially within the pharmaceutical industry and GMP standards.
  • Software Expertise: Proficiency with SynQ software is essential, along with experience working with Swisslog ASRS systems. Leverage software knowledge to streamline operations and enhance system functionality.
  • Training and Support: Provide training and support to end-users and maintenance staff on the operation and maintenance of automated systems, ensuring a high level of competency across the organization.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of industry developments and emerging technologies related to automated systems, identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in designing, programming, and implementing automated storage systems, fix drops robots, and automated guarding vehicles.
  • Proven experience working in pharmaceutical manufacturing environments, with a strong understanding of GMP requirements and compliance standards.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or Java, with experience in PLC programming considered a plus.
  • In-depth knowledge of SynQ software and Swisslog ASRS systems, along with a demonstrated ability to work with complex automation platforms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as part of a team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
