The Material Handling Shift Manager is responsible for:

  • Leading teams of hourly and salary, bargaining and non-bargaining employees in completing material receiving and delivery activities that enable the plant to meet daily production targets.
  • Directly supporting daily production, troubleshooting problems as they arise, and allocating resources and manpower accordingly to resolve issues without impact to plant throughput performance.
  • Directly managing a team of salaried non-bargaining employees.
  • Managing employee hiring, training, performance, and retention. 
  • Participating in and promoting lean Stellantis Production Way activities.
  • Utilizing problem solving skills and knowledge in lean methodology and tools to root cause and resolve top issues.
  • Interacting with all levels of the organization including bargaining and non-bargaining hourly and salary employees as well as executive leadership.
  • Leading safety, quality and cost initiatives set forth by the Plant and Corporate.
