Responsibilities

Material Handling Mechanics acquire expertise in diagnosing and repairing forklift components.

  • Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and services
  • Assist with the tire maintenance program
  • Execute service calls
  • Clean and refuel equipment
  • Perform additional maintenance tasks or assignments
  • Support senior technicians
  • Oversee the maintenance shop, grounds, and all tools and equipment
  • Ensure a clean and safe environment in compliance with industry standards
  • Maintain accurate paperwork and records
  • Collaborate with the Parts Department to ensure adequate inventory levels of materials and supplies
  • Effectively manage special assignments as required
  • Maintain a quality inventory of hand tools
