Warehouse Material Handling Specialist

Direct Mail Solutions is a comprehensive mailing service provider. We are currently looking for a Warehouse Material Handling Specialist who will play a crucial role in the efficient management of materials, particularly within the elevated storage sections of our Warehouse Department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate material handling equipment safely and effectively.
  • Utilize a Turret Truck/High Reach Forklift as the primary equipment.
  • Store palletized goods in high storage racks.
  • Retrieve palletized items from multiple high rack locations for outbound processing.
  • Facilitate the transfer of materials within storage areas.
  • Employ warehouse management systems for order processing.
  • Ensure the warehouse remains clean and organized.
  • Be available for flexible overtime as required.
  • Assist with various warehouse tasks, including loading/unloading trucks and wrapping products.
  • Support team members in other warehouse functions once primary duties are completed to enhance overall team performance.
Qualifications:
  • Preferred two years of experience operating a Turret Truck forklift; certification is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate all equipment safely.
  • OSHA certification is preferred.
  • Prior experience in warehouse or distribution settings is beneficial.
  • Strong attention to detail and effective problem-solving abilities.
  • Well-organized with the capacity to prioritize tasks.
  • Able to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Basic computer and communication skills are essential.
  • Experience with forklifts and pallet jacks is a plus; candidates must complete a forklift training program to qualify as an operator on all warehouse equipment.
  • Flexibility with work hours is necessary.
  • Must be capable of safely lifting up to 50 lbs regularly, with occasional lifting of heavier items. Frequent bending, twisting, and pulling are required.
This is a full-time opportunity.
