       *Seize the Opportunity to Shine as a Cash Accounting Supervisor Lead the charge in daily financial reconciliations, drive impactful decisions, and collaborate with diverse teams.        The Cash Accounting team handles daily reconciliation of all store bank accounts by matching sales and bank activities. This team supports domestic brands, act as intermediaries between stores and key partners, and address issues like missed services with armored carriers, missing chain orders or deposits, and collaborating with Store Operations on identified discrepancies.

 

The Opportunity: Contribute To The Growth Of Your Career.

  • Supervise, train, and develop team of direct reports. Provide consistent and regular coaching and counseling, including both positive and constructive feedback.
  • Lead team in to ensure the successful month/year end close process. This includes independent supervising the daily/weekly/monthly duties of the Cash Accounting Coordinators and supporting Ad hoc request.
  • Assist in maintaining relationship with bank and armored car partners.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reconciliation of store deposit accounts. Review Coordinators work to ensure proper research has been conducted with internal and external business partners.
  • Book variances above Coordinator thresholds and required journal entries to properly adjust cash and related accounts.
  • Assign and allocate work appropriately. Regularly revisit assignments to ensure individuals are being adequately challenged.
  • Resolve technical and procedural issues, escalated items, open items, etc.
  • Ensure tasks performed by the associates align with internal and external auditing rules, as well as Sarbanes Oxley. Support the annual audit through supplying requested items, leading walkthrough and supporting discussions with internal and external auditors. 
  • Monitor and adjust staff assignments to optimally manage workloads, backlog, and open items. Ensure proper escalation and communication of issues and unusual items to leadership.
  • Look for opportunities to expand the overall scope of the groups deliverables so they can be used to influence decision making and support the overall needs of the organization.
  • Recommend enhancements to procedures, processes, and reporting.
  • Special projects as assigned.
  • Participates in systems testing (as needed).

 

 

Who We Are Looking For: You.

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business management highly preferred.
  • 2 years experience in accounting, finance, banking
  • Prior leadership and/or supervisory experience required
  • General knowledge of basic accounting principles
  • Strong leadership and communication skills as show in the ability to supervise a variety of daily tasks and projects; conduct interviews, run meetings and coaching sessions, and provide quality customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize, while meeting strict deadline

This position has a starting salary range of $72,100 to $91,800 per year. 
Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
