Position Overview

OneShield Inc is seeking a remote Senior Accounting Specialist to contribute to the development of a top-tier accounting department. The successful candidate will demonstrate a collaborative spirit, ready to engage in critical projects and diverse tasks. This role offers comprehensive exposure to various accounting functions, including:

Key Responsibilities

Participating in month-end closing processes that involve:
  • Bank Reconciliations.
  • Management of Fixed Assets.
  • Preparation of Journal Entries.
  • Conducting balance sheet and expense account reconciliations, along with monthly variance analysis.
  • Supporting the closing activities of our international office.
  • Reviewing Accounts Payable Transactions.
  • Assisting with the accounts payable function, including processing weekly invoices.
  • Supporting accounts receivable functions, including processing cash receipts.
  • Assisting in the preparation of monthly sales tax filings.
  • Engaging in special accounting-related projects and additional duties as required.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with automated accounting systems (Microsoft Dynamics GP is a significant advantage).
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in PC applications - MS Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Self-driven and a team-oriented individual.
  • Minimum requirement - Associate's degree in Accounting; Bachelor's degree in Accounting is preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
