Video Production Specialist

The Video Production Specialist will shoot pre-recorded studio and in-field content, produce live studio and remote television broadcasts, and edit a variety of productions including corporate and commercial content, storyline-based packages, and pre-produced television shows. A successful candidate will have a strong background in videography, camera operations, audio engineering, lighting and composition. The candidate should have experience with organizing and editing a variety of content, managing multiple projects, strong storytelling skills, and have good taste in design. Candidates should demonstrate technical acuity, strong organizational and interpersonal skills, and the ability to keep calm, focused and confident in a production environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize, plan, and execute video shoots for a variety of internal and external clients, including interviews, b-roll, live events and testimonials.
  • Operate professional video cameras, lenses, and other equipment to capture high-quality footage. Knowledge of DLSR/Mirrorless cameras as well as broadcast/ENG style cameras is a plus.
  • Ensure proper lighting, sound, and composition.
  • Edit and enhance video content using Final Cut and Adobe products to create polished and impactful on-brand videos tailored to each individual clients needs.
  • Manage post-production tasks including file organization, editing, color correction, audio mixing and adding visual effects or graphics when necessary.
  • Maintain and organize video equipment, ensuring it is in excellent working condition.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in videography and video editing.

Education

Bachelor's degree in film production, videography, or a related field is preferred.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Must be familiar with video editing software including Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects.
  • Experience with motion graphics, animation, Illustrator and Photoshop is a plus.
  • Familiarity with various equipment including DSLR/mirrorless cameras, broadcast/ENG cameras, manual lens, audio equipment, stabilizers, drones, etc.
  • Strong understanding of lighting, composition, and camera techniques.
  • Storytelling and creative skills with the ability to translate concepts into visually compelling content.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to travel for on-location shoots when required.
  • Capable of carrying video equipment and rigging.
  • Perform all other tasks assigned.
