This role will support the Finance team by managing all cash in transactions for donations to the organization and the portfolio of funds they manage. Donations come in various forms, including credit card transactions, checks, ACH and wires. The Donations Specialist will be an analytical position, responsible for monitoring banking platforms for daily transactions, posting donations to the correct funds, issuing tax acknowledgment letters, as well as maintaining data integrity for donor and transaction records. This role requires a high level of customer service and the ability to think analytically. Candidates should have approximately 3-5+ years of related finance experience, ideally with time at a nonprofit. Bachelor's degree required. This position is based in the Miami area and operates on a hybrid schedule. The salary for this position is $60,000 per year, with potential flexibility based on experience.Responsibilities:Own the identification and recording of all donations and other cash-in transactions from checks, stocks, wires, and credit card donationsCollaborate with Program Directors to ensure an accurate recording of receiptsUtilize banking platforms to monitor incoming transactions and deposit checksEnsure data compliance and maintain donor recordsResearch transactions to ensure they are recorded and submitted to the proper fundAudit transactions to eliminate duplicates or other errorsSubmit gift acknowledgment lettersProvide recommendations for internal controls related to this positionAssist in the monthly close and annual audit processesQualifications:Approximately 3-5+ years of relevant finance experience, ideally at a nonprofit organizationBachelor's degree requiredDesire to own the process and identify areas for improvementHigh level of customer serviceTech savvy and experience with various softwareStrong attention to detail and able to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environmentExcellent database management skillsPassion for the communityEqual opportunity employer.#J-18808-Ljbffr
