My client is a global leader in climate solutions for mission-critical processes, offering innovative and sustainable systems that optimize indoor humidity, temperature, and energy efficiency. They help industries reduce their environmental impact by enhancing the efficiency of energy and water use. Their AirTech division specializes in energy-efficient air treatment for industrial and commercial applications, focusing on sustainable climate systems and improving indoor air quality and production capacity. Data Center Technologies provides advanced cooling solutions for data centers, with patented products and energy-saving expertise. Meanwhile, FoodTech delivers cutting-edge climate systems and software for livestock farming and greenhouses, enhancing productivity and supporting sustainable food production with a focus on quality, animal health, and food safety.
Description
- 5 DAYS IN OFFICE (8-5, 7-4)
- 10% local travel
- Promote a culture of LEAN by educating and applying Lean principles and techniques.
- Evaluate production methods through time studies, balance charts, research, and operator/supplier interviews to identify efficiency improvements.
- Enhance material and information flow using Current State, Future State, and Ideal State Value Stream Mapping, focusing on waste elimination, variation reduction, and Standardized Work.
- Assess space usage, material flow, and personnel movement with Spaghetti Diagrams to identify improvement areas.
- Serve as the Plant Level LEAN expert, guiding LEAN manufacturing and process flow enhancements to support increased production capacity.
- Champion Operational Excellence by using structured problem-solving and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Lead training programs at all organizational levels to promote LEAN concepts, including manufacturing and office staff.
- Develop and maintain documentation to support projects, including work instructions and Bills of Materials (BOMs) where necessary.
- Collaborate with management, technical teams, supervisors, and production staff to execute LEAN plans and projects.
- Conduct workshops and contribute to the strategic design of the plant's future LEAN state, while building the skill level of plant personnel to support this vision.
Profile
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science degree
- 10+ years in manufacturing
- LEAN 6 Sigma Green Belt Certification - Ideally BLACK Belt
Desirable Requirements:
- Expertise in large equipment manufacturing:
- Sheet metal
- Piping
- Mechanical and electrical assembly
- Experience in low volume, high mix manufacturing environments
